What to Know About the 2025 Volvo EX90 Before It Arrives in Cheshire, MA
The Volvo EX90 is Volvo's first all-electric three-row SUV, and it's on its way to Bedard Bros. Volvo Cars later this year. Volvo EX90 Performance and Range
The 2025 Volvo EX90 is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive electric propulsion system offering two different levels of horsepower. Base models will still have an astonishing 402 horsepower and 552 pound-feet of torque, while Twin Motor Performance trims will get a boost to 496 horsepower and nearly 600 pound-feet of torque. With the Performance package on board, the EX90 gets to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, despite its large stature and weight.
Typically, high-powered EVs suffer for ultimate range, but Volvo has done well to ensure that the EX90 always gets you to your destination. With an 111 kWh battery pack, you'll have 300+ miles of range with base EX90 models. And even with the Twin Motor Performance variant, you'll get 280 miles of range from a full charge.
Charging
Every 2025 Volvo EX90 comes standard with DC fast charging capability. That means public fast chargers can take the 111-kWh battery from 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 30 minutes. Furthermore, the EX90 offers bi-directional charging, so you can use your Volvo EV as a roving power station or to keep your appliances running in the event of a power outage. You can even use it to charge other EVs if necessary!
Advanced Technology
Step inside the new Volvo EX90 and you'll find a minimalist cabin complete with a raft of advanced tech. The portrait-style 14.5-inch infotainment display is the hub for all of your needs, including media, climate controls, drive mode settings, and more. And thanks to built-in Google Android technology and voice activated features, you can control a majority of settings without ever lifting a finger. Furthermore, the digital instrument cluster is splashed across a 12.3-inch display and includes range and charging information, a map view for navigation, street sign data, and more, all with a configurable interface that you can set up to your liking.
Safety Takes a Step Forward
The 2025 Volvo EX90 takes advanced driver assistance a step further thanks to LiDAR technology. Rather than relying on just radar and camera sensors to power adaptive cruise and hands-free driving, LIDAR uses laser pulses for high-fidelity reads on nearby obstacles. Much more reliable than radar and camera sensors, the LIDAR-equipped EX90 will deliver a safer hands-free driving experience than any other vehicle available today. And of course, features like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and blind spot monitoring are all standard kit even when not in a hands-free drive mode.
